One of the programme areas the Free Festival has really developed in 2009 is the Theatre Section, which now boasts 27 separate productions - mostly thanks to our vastly upgraded Ballroom at the Counting House, and new venue the Hive.
These shows are led by George Innes, the veteran actor who is returning to the Fringe after 50 years with his off-Broadway hit “A Tribute – Gielgud’s Ages of Man”. There is also Divya Patel’s account of the Terror Attacks on Mumbai, “A Personal War”, and Carlo D’Amore travels from San Francisco to present his award winning play “No Parole – Family is a life sentence
Plus much there is much more, from comedy historical plays, to brand new writing, including the Goldsmiths Drama Society returning with three productions after last years successful run.
