January 2008 - We are happy to announce to fantastic new venues for the 2008 Fringe -
Espionage, which is a three performance space venue situated on Victoria Street and Cowgate (you
can't get much more central) and a Fantastic basement room at the Argyle, on the Meadows and
within seconds walk from the big-tops on the Meadows. More information on the perfromers

September - That's it for 2007, our final show has finished and the venues are packed
away in their boxes for another year - See you again in August 2008! Our Fringe dates for 2008
are July 31st to August 25th - Check back here for updates over the year - we're already well
into planning for next years free Fringe extravaganza. |

August - The List's Top 5 Festival Surprises: The Free Festival - "The Laughing
Horses Free Fringe has given hundreds of performers a chance to get up in front of
bigger and more appreciative audiences than they might normally encounter. The little-known
acts of this year may well be the stars of 2008 so go along and check them out. We salute
their generosity of spirit." |

| There will be two further venues with
Free Festival shows, The Counting House and Pear Tree on
West Nicolson Street, including a 150 capacity room in the heart of Edinburgh, and an Outdoor
stage for performers to use - similar to the stages on the royal mile. This means there are
now 11 venues in Edinbrugh with Free Festival shows this year. |

Underbelly for free performances throughout this years Edinburgh Fringe Festival,
giving performers a unique opportunity to perform at one of the Fringes leading venues

to announce two further Free venues for the 2007 Fringe - Berlin and Edinburgh City Football Club. This adds a further three performance spaces to the Free
Festival venues. The details for
performers are now available in the Performers
section for the performance space at
Edinburgh City Football Club, details for Berlin will be added in the first week of January. |

Welcome to the brand new site for
Laughing Horse's Free Venues at the Edinburgh Fringe - and the Launch of the Free Festival
venues for 2007. This page will highlight news and events as they happen through the year - we
are currently taking submissions from performers and speaking to venues about shows for 2007,
and it looks like our 2007 programme will be bigger and better than ever!
If you are a performer, have a look at the new Performers section to see what our venues will be
like in 2007 - or join our new
forum, to chat with other acts in the build up to the Fringe.
