After being
saved by a donor of three pints of blood I was inspired to write this comedy show of
stand-up, characters, songs and improvisation that brings out your inner comedian
Comedy can be used for therapy but sometimes a freak
accident is the wake up call needed to suddenly see life from a whole new perspective and
perhaps find that the funniest things come out of all the cracks in daily life*. No wonder
the Irish use the word craic as, says Wikipedia: 'Crack or craic is "fun, enjoyment,
abandonment, or light-hearted mischief; often in the context of drinking or music".
The new look at life that inspired 3 Pints (2.114 Litres) Of
Laughter Comedy Cabaret appeared to Sophie Sweatman after the anonymous donation of blood
this February that lead Sophie to start: "Having bursts of uncontrollable laughter at
people's updates on Facebook and Twitter in my lunch-break that lead work colleagues to
consider having me sectioned," she says.
The show comprises of Sophie, 38 of Crouch End North London,
as Sophie's Voice and Special Guests performing stand-up routines, songs, characters,
sketches, a poem and intro about airport security, cycling, weight, bank card ID fraud,
MPs claiming expenses and wearing a hearing aid.
This is your chance to be reunited with your inner comedian
and take him or her away with you. You could win a limited edition t-shirt designed by an
original cartoonist by doing some improvisation as, Sophie says: "no one needs to go
through life missing out on the humour that is as natural to human existence as our
obsession with our weight and being professional." |
