THE SHOW
Sandwich-chic! Born and inbred in Jersey, the Beta Males
offer up a comedy of crushed dreams and the quirks of male pattern bonding. A 50-minute
sketch happening, populated by bad cops, forgotten astronauts and Robot Shakespeare.
Suitable only for those of the age and IQ of 15+.
ABOUT the TROUPE
The Beta Males' Picnic is a newly-wrapped and
lovingly-prepared comedy sketch troupe. The group consists of Adam Blampied, John Henry
Falle, Tom Clarke, Jon Gracey and Robert Pirouet (Director). The gentlemen are almost
entirely from the Island of Jersey in the Channel Islands. Except for Jon. Who's not. But
he has relatives there.
This year, the Beta Males' Picnic has gigged throughout
London, always ready to delight with the minimum of fuss, tech, or props, supporting the
likes of Adam Hills, Jo Caulfield, Matt Kirshen, the Sunday Defensive and Paul Foot.
The troupe also produces video sketches and was recently
featured on YouTube's front page for their latest sketch, Bale Begins, knocking up over
50,000 views in a day. Debuting at the Fringe will also be the Beta Males' self-published
comic, "The Picnic".
"The most exciting new sketch group I have seen in
ages...original, surprising, fun and funny." - Paul Foot |
