As part of the St Martins Exhibition, the poetry
publisher Oversteps Books is hosting a poetry reading. Oversteps publishes poetry
collections by some of the best contemporary poets from all over the United Kingdom and
further afield including:
A C Clarke (Messages of Change)
lives in Glasgow, has published widely, is an active member of Scottish Pen, and was the Makar
for the Federation of Writers (Scotland) for 2007.
Susan Taylor (The Suspension of
the Moon) lives on Dartmoor, and is an active member of both the Moor Poets and the
Company of Poets. She is married to
Simon Williams (Quirks) who
also lives on Dartmoor and is a member of the same two groups. Susan and Simon perform
their poetry widely, and Simons repertoire includes a number of songs. They run
regular poetry, story and song evenings at their local pub.
Alwyn Marriage (Touching Earth)
is the author of six books, including two collections of her own poetry, and she reads
regularly at literary festivals and other events. She recently took over as Managing
Editor of Oversteps Books Ltd. |
