| Emerging from the wreckage of broken lights, machar granite was
originally the solo output for singer / songwriter Eddie Robinson. In early 2009, machar granite morphed into a three
piece with the addition of Ian Jack on bass and Dave Armstrong on drums, moving towards a
grittier sound while trying to maintain the folk feel inherent in the songs as they were
originally composed.
Machar granite's music veers between
seething guitar workouts and delicately balanced acoustic folk; it is influenced by a wide
variety of subjects and styles but the sound is undoubtedly deeply rooted within the
remoteness and strong spirit of community Eddie knew growing up.
The band are currently preparing to release
their debut album, "lost in history" which they hope to release in summer 2009.
