corvetteslogobw.jpg (121430 bytes)The Fabulous Corvettes exploded into existence in the Spring of 2008. They got together via the Bandmix site, once Dawg figured out how to kick start the particle accelerator. From the depths of cyberspace the call of the blues was answered at Banana Row one misty Edinburgh April morning by four soul brothers:

·          Graham ‘The Licksmith’ : guitar

·          Houndog Fraser: bass

·          James B. Carr: vox and harp

·          Peter ‘Stix’ Rabjohns: drums

This new but experienced band is already gaining respect in Edinburgh and across Scotland with audiences who love to hear and boogie to the blues. Almost fresh from their recent Calmac Tour, the band will perform eight shows in the Free Edinburgh Fringe Festival before headlining the Bailie Beer Festival and making their Callander Jazz & Blues Festival debut in October.

The Fabulous Corvettes are your groove guides on a Blues, Soul and R&B road trip from Chicago to Mississippi via Memphis and Kansas City, with some original local detours on northbound trains and no.22 buses thrown in for good measure. Prepare to be transported.”

“Brilliant! (or should it be fabulous?)” Dave Arcari

“Viva the Corvettes!” Roberto Cassani on Nessmp3

“Stars, one and all, the crowd enjoyed it almost as much as the band!”

Irene & Danny, Colinsburgh Town Hall, May 16th 2007
