In a study conducted by a man with a beard, it was discovered that the hour between 3.50pm and 4.50pm was the funniest hour of the day. This is Comedy O’Clock. And, coincidently, the time of our show.

Join us in a stand up comedy showcase featuring four of the best new stand ups on the circuit. Two ladies and two blokes. Nick Helm, Richard Bond, Catie Wilkins & Hannah George. Nick will be MCing the other three acts through an hour of top notch stand up comedy. You won’t want to miss it!

Catie Wilkins

Catie blends subtle deconstruction with some beautifully dry observations, the effect is refreshingly original. She has recently had a sitcom optioned by BBC3.

"Very funny" - JIMMY CARR
"You can definitely write" - IAN MORRIS
"Very funny girl" - KAREN TAYLOR
"Really refreshing, just so lovely to watch" - JOHN RYAN
"Well crafted jokes, but no arse" - ROGER MONKHOUSE

Richard Bond

When he hits the stage, Richard is a ball of infectious energy. His highly entertaining sets always leave an audience wanting more.

Finalist – Paramount Student Comedian of the Year

Hannah George

Winner of the Paramount Student Comedian of the year 2007.

Semi-finalist “So You Think You’re Funny”

“Hannah George is definitely one to watch.  Even at this early stage in her career her set contains many memorable lines! She’s a funny person not just a funny woman.  An exciting, unforgettable new talent.” – Paramount Comedy 2008

“Genuine talent" - Bournemouth Daily Echo 2007

“An easy, engaging performance style and an ear for a well-structured joke in a routine that packs them in with efficiency. Watch this space.” Chortle 2007

Nick Helm

Bi Polar writer/performer Nick Helm has been performing at the fringe since 1997 when he played the prince in a school production of Romeo and Juliet. Making his writing and directorial debut in 2001 with Air Freshener he went on to write, direct and perform in fringe shows Christmas Tree (2002), Love-Life (2004) Stroke (2006) and this year’s A Third of The Way Done. Nick began his journey as a stand up comedian in late 2006 and runs his own comedy club on the Isle of Dogs which is fast becoming a favorite amongst comedians and audiences alike!
