'Chris Whittle and friends' are an acoustic ensemble that has been exhibiting Chris' music across Edinburgh; regular gigs in support of charity and winning two Battle of the Bands contests have characterised recent times for the band.  Chris' 'penchant for bucolic symbolism and plain speaking' has earned him a sizeable following, also shown by his recent commissioning to write for a film score and create a music video with an MTV-associated media company.

Performances alongside artists like Paul Gilbody (from KT Tunstall's 'Eye to the Telescope'), Simon Kempston and Tom Fairnie have given this group experience on the Edinburgh scene, with tunes like the loyally named 'North Bridge', a 'vividly dramatised story of betrayal', retaining the interest of Edinburgh's press and acoustic music followers.
