Since starting stand-up comedy ten years ago, the charismatic and energetic Kane Brown has fast developed a reputation for producing fearless, bold and hilarious material. Combining astute observations with home truths and exaggerated absurdity.
From humble beginnings as a direct salesman, Kane has developed a large cult following on the black comedy circuit. He found his ability to converse with a wide demographic of people translated perfectly onto the stage and his easy going and assured presence onstage has seen him rise steadily through the ranks to headline spots across London and beyond.
He has performed in The Comedy café, Jongleurs (nationwide), Highlights, Glee, Hackney & Shepherd’s Bush Empires and has even supported Chris Rock at the Comedy Store.
He’s also been credited with performances on MTV Base and SKY TV as well as BBC Radio 1Xtra and Choice FM.
In 2012, with his reputation growing, Kane decided to hone his craft and test his metal across the pond. He has performed to packed out crowds in New York, Los Angeles and Boston. He’s taken his act to Jamaica and has been invited to perform to the troops in Afghanistan on three separate occasions alongside singers Katherine Jenkins and Katie Melua.
Kane is a previous winner of the Movie Video & Screen Awards best comedian accolade and scooped first prize in The World Comedy Clash, fending off competition from comedians from nine other nations in the process.
Kane also has presenting experience with Red Carpet TV. He’s interviewed England football heroes Rio Ferdinand and Sol Campbell as well as gold medal sprinter Linford Christie.
His new show ‘The Oath’ is Kane’s first venture to The Edinburgh Festival Fringe. Having established himself as a firm favourite on the London circuit he is now looking to glean a new audience. His show explores truth, honesty, life and human nature in a hilarious and provocative way. Drawing on real life anecdotes and experiences, this show is a humorous, irreverent and deeply personal look at all things Kane.
