I'm a freelance musician and writer from Cardiff, now based in Oxford. My work involves playing the piano, leading workshops, teaching, writing, composing, arranging and various other things that all involve music and words in some way or another. I've written and staged three musicals so far - Love Online (in collaboration with Andy Milburn), Daddy's Girls and Verity - and a one-woman play based on Kurt Weill's songs, Smoke & Mirrors. Other staged work includes music written for Shakespeare plays and contemporary dance, lyrics for Malcolm Pearce's cantata Terpsichoreana, and productions for schools and children's hospitals. My latest musical, The Singing Lesson, for two singers, is the first in a planned series of musical 'selfies' - small-scale, individual stories told through song.
