Carol Caffrey Witherow
I'm an Irish ex-pat, living in Shropshire for twenty-odd years with my husband and two grown-up children. During the '80s I worked as a professional actor with Moving Theatre,TEAM Theatre-in-Education and The Bawdy Beautifuls, touring prisons, schools, women's clubs and the late-night circuit. I was also a series regular on RTE's prison drama, "Inside". After some years as a full-time motherand part-time teacher, I now identify myself as a writer (I am currently in the 2015-2016 cohort of emerging writers with Writing West Midlands) and returning actor. "Music for Dogs" is my first show since deciding to come back into the business after a twenty-year gap and was born out of my desire not to regret missed opportunities and to raise funds for Cancer research and the Hospice movement. The show is dedicated to my late siblings, David, Peter, Sheila and Linda, whose lives were cut short by the disease.
