Perennial globetrotter Marcus Ryan is a gifted storyteller with a natural comic bent and has featured at so many festivals and clubs around the world it’s hard to know where home is these days. One thing's for sure, he’s right at home on stage. A laid back yet engaging stage presence, Marcus charms his audiences with a sharp wit and tales from the road, having performed in over 50 countries in 6 continents, even gigs in Spanish!
Not one to stay still, Marcus has been based in Australia, Canada & the UK. Whilst a regular on those club circuits and frequent festival performer, it is the solo work that he loves most. Continually carving his own path, bringing comedy to communities, cities & even countries that have never before had it! He has completed solo tours of South East Asia and Latin America and is reportedly the first person in history to perform English speaking stand-up comedy in Laos, Cambodia, Nicaragua, Uruguay & Paraguay.
Marcus Ryan is an award nominated stand-up comedian and award winning storyteller (The Moth), regarded as one of the most well travelled performers working today. Whilst not a household name in one city, he has a global following. He has sold-out festivals and tours with hit critically acclaimed one man show 'Love Me Tinder' & most recent award nominated and shortlisted '¿Hablas Inglés?' as well as worked in radio, television, poetry, writing and acting. He has hosted music festivals, charities, can work clean or blue, cater for young & old, for family, kids and international audiences. An excellent MC and headliner. A brilliant storyteller and observational comic, he can do killer 5 min sets, solid club comedy, backpacker gigs and corporate events. Don't miss your chance to catch him while you can!
