Coco Bohème is played by chanteuse Alex Carter. Alex sings classical, jazz and cabaret songs. London’s European Cabaret specialist, she read modern languages at Clare College, Cambridge and then trained at the Royal Academy of Music. She has worked in the Chorus of the Royal Opera House, and many other smaller opera companies, and has lived and worked both in Europe and in the UK.
Alex has performed at Sandringham House, the Houses of Parliament, on Alan Titchmarsh’s television show, and she has appeared at various galleries and castles in Germany, the Mauritshuis in Holland, the Handel House Museum in London, Twinwood Festival, Sydenham Arts Festival, Mayfair Casinos, the Athenaeum, Vinopolis, Nicolas, and Raymond Blanc's Le Manoir aux Quat'Saisons, and for many private soirées.
Alex Carter loves teaching singing as well as performing, and works with both adults and children. She is a voice teacher for Bromley Youth Music Trust and the Bromley Boy Singers. She is thrilled to be a part of the Edinburgh Fringe Festival for the first time this year!
