Abdiel is a master of Irony, whose prize-winning comedy appearances have ranged from The Cavendish Arms in South London to the famed Penghao Theatre in Beijing. He has mined deeply the themes of Poo, Opera, and Virgins, and his sets run from 5 minutes to an Hour.
Before venturing into stand-up, Abdiel performed several one-man shows, including Wind in the Willows and the poetry of W.H. Auden, and he uses a rich variety of characters and accents.
Abdiel's extensive background in Theatre includes his own Shakespeare Reveries, an entirely improvised show with seven actors using only the texts of Shakespeare. He brought this to the inaugural New York International Fringe Festival and to Beijing. He continues to work as an actor, voiceover artist, and dance teacher (Argentine Tango).
