Tara hails from a farm in outback Western Australia. She studied acting at Lee Strasberg in New York, while also performing stand up in some of the city's top comedy venues. She was the first Australian to perform in NewsRevue (the world's longest running comedy sketch show), then directed a London run of the show and in 2015 she directed the Edinburgh Festival run of NewsRevue (which gained five star reviews and The Sun said was "One of the slickest, most professional, hilarious shows you will ever see"). In the last year Tara has played one of Nicole Kidman's punks in 'How To Talk To Girls At Parties' directed by David Cameron Mitchell, directed 'I Love My Love' at The Tabard Theatre and directed a pilot for comedy sketch show 'Twitface'. Regarding her most recent comedy video 'My Tinder Experience', Stephen Fry called her "Very talented and very of the moment".
