David Crawford is an American actor best known to international audiences as Dr. Foster in George Romero's zombie classic "Dawn of the Dead." He performed his solo show "Poe's Last Night" at the Free Festival in 2012 and has since booked that show into several American theaters, including a two-week run in January 2014 in his home town of Pittsburgh. David appears occasionally in films, but his first love and his main occupation is performing on stage. He has played Fagin in "Oliver," Polonius in "Hamlet," Pickering in "My Fair Lady," and Sherlock Holmes in "The Hound of the Baskervilles," among more than 100 professional roles on American stages. He also teaches acting and coaches voice-and-speech and Shakespeare performance.
