Robert Cohen is an actor/writer and writer/actor.
His one-man show The Trials of Harvey Matusow, being the true story of a McCarthyite supergrass, earned him the 2012 FringeReview Outstanding Theatre Award. High Vis, being the untrue story of a traffic warden called Quint, will bring him back to the Edinburgh Fringe for the first time since 2001, when he played Mr Pink in a stage adaptation of Reservoir Dogs.
Although not exclusively devoted to playing villains and social pariahs, his other acting roles have included Lee Harvey Oswald in Sondheim’s Assassins, Don John in Much Ado About Nothing, and Stepan, a Russian mafioso, in the BBC/Baby Cow sitcom Ideal.
In addition to his work as Quint in High Vis, Robert will shortly be bringing the much-misunderstood traffic warden to the internet as part of the online comedy project Vlog Roll (see YouTube clip).
