Stu Who

WHO? Stu Who? hit the comedy world with a big punch in 1988 and he gave up working as a warden in a YMCA hostel for "troubled boys" in order to try and make perfect strangers laugh! In the very same year he went on to win "The Spirit of Mayfest" at Glasgow"s annual Arts Festival and made his first performance on television. Since then Stu has worked the length and breadth of the country, notched up plenty of television, radio and writing credits and has performed his stand-up as far afield as Australia! Television Appearances include: The Basement Bravo Channel Funny Farm STV (Compere and writer for 6 series) Funky Bunker Mike Mansfield for ITV Trial By Night STV The End RTE Rab C Nesbitt BBC Scotland for BBC 2 Excess BBC 1 The Lowdown BBC 1 Laughlines BSB 31 West BSB Edinburgh Nights STV Hot Air Channel 4 Comedy Rules STV Scottish Books STV Regular Radio Appearances include: The Usual Suspect - Guest Performer BBC Radio Scotland Bite The Wax - Regular Contributor for BBC Radio Scotland"s Art Programme Bizarre Ode Ditties - Guest Presenter and reviewer for BBC Radio Scotland Karen Young Show - Regular Contributor for BBC Radio Scotland Stu has also been a regular guest on Radio Forth and has stood in for many of their DJs. "Stu has a fine turn of phrase, a taste for the unexpected, a relaxed approach, a totally professional sense of timing, but his humour always packs a punch." Festival Times
