"a quirky little Irish Lass, whose opening satirical stance set the audience agog. Her timing was impeccable, her gags relatable, yet new ". DV8 online magazine
Northern Irish comic Nicola gigs regularly throughout the UK. Tales of family life, poetry and other random musings, are performed with an engaging enthusiasm, music and the odd dodgy accent. Nicola keeps being asked to do comedy things on narrowboats. She spent summer 2012 on a narrowboat skippering/performing/presenting and podcasting her way from London to Edinburgh with some comedians, as part of the Cultural Olympiad, for the Pleasance Theatre"s "Tall Tales from the Riverbank" project. (www.pleasanceahoy.com) Yes, that does make her an "Olympian". Nicola also performs sketch comedy with the Jolly Mixtures, who are very big in Yorkshire and Humberside right now, along side fellow stand ups Amy Gledhill, Rob Gilroy and Graham Oakes.
Nicola is also a voice artist and actor with home recording facilities.
“...the audience immediately warmed to her. The strong material about her irish heritage, quick paced ukulele songs and snappy wit were an instant hit. Definitely one to watch.” Andy Chambers ppsf.co.uk
