Neil Hickey has performed his thoughtful, warm and witty brand of humor in all the major comedy venues across Ireland. A native of Dublin, Neil is a regular performer in the city"s most established comedy clubs, including the International Comedy Club, The Comedy Cellar, The Capital Comedy Club and the Laughter Lounge. Neil has also performed several times as part of the Comedy Cats line up at the Kilkenny Comedy Festival and was selected to perform at the Irish Just For Laughs Montreal Showcase twice. A past winner of the Bulmers Nuthin Butt Funny Newcomers Comedy Competition, this afforded Neil one of the highlights of his stand up career, the opportunity of support Bill Bailey at the Olympia Theater. Following on from this, Neil made his Irish television debut appearing on RTE"s Liffey Laugh stand up show and also won the Irish heat of the Amused Moose Laugh off Competition. More recently Neil has performed stand up and written sketches as part of Andrew Stanley"s Comedy Mish Mash at the at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and also came 2nd place in The Comedy Central Student Awards at the comedy store in London last March. Neil has just written his first one man show"The Nerve" which was performed in May as part of the 2012 Brighton Fringe Festival.
