Ellen started singing Cabaret approximately 15 years ago in her forties. After several years of lessons for technique, story telling and coaching along with several local performances, she finaly put a one woman show together. She defines her shows as Caber-Plays in that while it is a Cabaret format there is a fictional story being told. With success from her first show, "Going Up!," Ellen was selected last summer to be a fellow at the prestigious Eugene O'Neill Theatre Cabaret Conference. Her new Caber-Play takes place in Hollywood Cailfornia, USA, called "Los Angeles Tar." The heroine has a wacky romance in some less famous, although very interesting, hot spots of Los Angeles,.
Before her Cabaret career, Ellen was a Costume Maker, which included being part of an Emmy winning team for "Third Rock From the Sun" and also managing legendary Bob Mackie's workroom. After twenty years of film and TV costuming, she became a craft creator and presentor for Home and Garden Television.
Born in upstate New York on a small farm, Ellen has lived in Los Angeles since 1981. A few years ago, her family purchased a small home in Connecticut and funny enough, the street address if "19 Blair St.!"
