I might be a bit long in the tooth compared to many wannabee stand-ups at the Edinburh Fringe, but at 64 it would be a dream come true to be able to 'Give it a go'. I've been involved in am-dram performances for 25-years, always in a comedy role. More recently I have been involved in two comedic enterprises (i) Local productions of 'Faulty Dining' (I'm Basil) with a contemporary script - always a sell out as we tour across South Scotland under the name 'Dragonfly Theatre'; (ii) Local production of a spoof radio show (in the style of Prarie Home Companion) taking the Micky out of life in small town South Scotland (Peebles). I have been writing and performing these shows for 10-years now. They are tremendously popular and have gone from 1-night only to 3-night total sellouts. The Youtube link gives you a flavour of an opportunity I had at The Stand (Edinburgh) or a Bright Club' night in July 2018. The brief was 8-minutes about your job. I sometimes compare local charity shows and have plans for being the stand-up comic at a local Burns Night.
