Nick Dixon has appeared twice on the TV show Comedy Central at the Comedy Store, and was one of the standout performers on both occasions. His YouTube clilp from that show led him, in 2017, to be chosen by Will Smith's team to work onset with Will as a writer on the new Disney movie, Aladdin.
In 2017 Nick also supported Gad Elmaleh, Europe's biggest comedian with 7.8 million Twitter followers, for three nights at the Soho Theatre. Again this was based purely on Gad watching Nick's YouYube clip.
Nick has also supported Tom Stade on two tour runs across the UK. For several years he has appeared performing full weekends at all the top clubs, such as The Comedy Store, Glee, and The Stand. As far as the comedy circuit goes, he has done everything you can do.
Now he is performing his first full hour show at Edinburgh, having previous had a successful run at The Pleasance in the esteemed show AAA.
His style is self-deprecating yet boastful, beuatifully-structured yet spontaneous, intelligent, unique and unlike so-called comedians at this festival, ACTUALLY FUNNY. The show will be a vulnerable yet biting journey through Nick's recent failed attampt to get married and be a normal person, with detours into issues of family, the class system, and how to survive physically and mentally in the 21st century.
