Following a six day debut performance at last year’s Fringe, Brothers Broke will return in 2019 with their “When Judas Met John” show, presenting a musical journey alternating between Bob Dylan and John Lennon.
Originally from Carrickfergus in Northern Ireland, twin brothers Hugh and Tom adapt and perform a casual and engaging bluesy fusion of songs which feature the like-minded lyrics of both artists, covering themes of love & jealousy; social attitudes; creativity; and revolution of the mind. The show is charismatic in its offering of tight and subtle ‘sibling’ harmonies supported by solid acoustic blues guitar and harmonica, built on years of playing arts festivals, pub and club gigs together.
In 2018 the show, hosted at the Space Triplex 64 seater Studio, sold out on Saturday night, and ticket sales over the six day run averaged 77%.
Our objective for Edfringe 2019 is to present a show to a maximum capacity audience in a free fringe festival venue (circa 70 seater), where the audience will leave on a musical high; will appreciate they do not have to purchase a ticket to see the top quality shows; and will want to return to the venue.
