The London Preview Season

  

The Laughing Horse and Queens Head Comedy Clubs present the 2007 preview season for the ‘Free Edinburgh Fringe Festival’. An opportunity for Londoners who are not travelling to Edinburgh this year to see a selection of the 130 Free shows that will be on offer in August as part of this year’s Free festival.

The season runs from the start of June until August 6th and features previews from performers including John Gordillo, Ivor Dembina, Stan Stanley, Ivan Steward, Sally-Anne Hayward, Jay Sodagar, Mike Manera, Chris McCausland, Bill Bruce, Mowten, Dizzy High, Kevin McCarron, Okse, Jaik Campbell, Pam Ford, Mike Belgrave, Andrew Roper, Liam Spears, Benny Boot, Richard Coughlan, Donald Mack and Caimh McDonnell.

The Full programme for the Free Festival will be launched on May 21st on this website.

All shows start at 8.30pm, where there are two shows at the Queens head the second show follows the first.

5th June – Nick Pettigrew & Nick Cowen – “Free Sex and Violence” - Laughing Horse Soho

Nick Cowen, Nick Pettigrew and friends stand-up covers life's big questions - what not to say to muggers, whether poor dating etiquette started WWII and whether either of them would survive in an action movie. £4 Entry


 

6th June – “The Good, The Bad and the Cuddly Ride Again” – Laughing Horse Camden

Three comedians for the price of none! Sion James saddles up after last year's sell out Fringe sensation, with two new pard'ners; hot stand-up talents Henry Paker and Neil Price. £5 Entry


 

9th June – “The Christian, The Jew, The Muslim and the Geordie” – Laughing Horse Kingston

An hour of stand up from 4 very different rising stars of the comedy circuit: Joe K, Joe Bor, Prince Abdi and Christian Steel. £5 Entry


 

10th June – Jay Sodagar  – “Confessions of a Logical Mind 2” - Laughing Horse Camden

'The Acerbic wit of Jay Sodagar' (BBC) returns to  Edinburgh, following on from his very successful show last year. This year he pulls out the stops. £5 Entry


 

11th June – Liam Spears & Benny Boot – “Frying Free!” - Laughing Horse Oxford Circus

Liam Speirs delivers daft, childish, fun gags with colorful observations and anecdotes. Benny Boot delivers jokes. Set-up, punchline, pause for laughter and repeats this formula. £4 Entry


 

12 June - Mike Belgrave  – “Raised 2B Stupid” - The Queens Head

Belgrave's back after packed out houses at last year's Fringe. This year he ponders how he was raised 2b stupid and survived. Insightful, thoughtful, intelligent, comedy with divine costumes and cheeky songs. Free Entry

16th June -  Andrew Roper – “Too good (to Be Free)” - Laughing Horse Kingston

17th June – Kevin McCarron – “Nuclear War! followed by the total destruction of every living organism in the Universe” - Laughing Horse Richmond.

A follow up to the sell-out improvised Fringe show from 2006, an hour of improvised comedy, laughs and Nuclear destruction. £4 Entry
