 Hackney Empire
finalist and regular BBC Radio guest panellist, Maureen Younger, will be performing her
first one woman show this year as part of the Laughing Horse Free Fringe Festival.
Offering her individual take on life, love and everything in between, her
subjects range from the joys of sex with younger men as well as having a mad Scottish
mother with a penchant for beating up teenage muggers in Moscow to more practical advice
such as using pseudo pregnancy to ensure a seat on the London tube in rush hour!
A regular MC at The Cock Tavern alongside headline acts such as Adam Bloom,
Robin Ince and Shazia Mirza, Maureen has also performed warm up in English & Spanish
and English & French as part of a prize winning groundbreaking radio drama season The
Works; and has been known to surprise the odd unsuspecting German audience member by
suddenly accosting them in fluent Viennese German!
London Scot, Maureen Younger, is frank, fast and feisty - engaging humour
with attitude, as she enlightens the audience with a refreshing exposé on the joys and
tribulations of being a more mature female. Being 'head and
shoulders talentwise above others with a peach of a delivery' (MGCK), her 'polished set'
(Inside Comedy) and 'sharp humour brings interesting new perspectives to the stage'
(Hackney Empire). |
