Witty, inventive and daring stand-up from
Colin Owens (Winner, Jimmy Carr's Comedy Idol), Benny Boot ('Sickeningly talented' - Time
Out) and Tommy Mack ('Brilliant - Really inventive!' - Josie Long), hosted by BBC3's
Mark Talbot.The fastest rising stars
of today are
BENNY BOOT
Benny Boot is a London based comic, from Australia.
Boot is a mean joke teller. Style: Laid back, delivering off beat material, which is slick
and rhythmic. All Boot wants to do is tell jokes and that is exactly what he does: Set-up,
Punch line
then pause for laughter. Set-up, Punch line
then pause for laughter
(Maybe Applause, if hes lucky.) He repeats this process over and over.
COLIN OWENS
He talks about his failings, inadequacies, mistakes and general
stupidity all tinged with an air of paranoia and insecurity but delivered with supreme
confidence and sexual edginess........... It's a big snafu! Says Owens, It's an
honour to be a bad man. I'm Irresponsible and some what over loved by mother, hence my bad
man status! Help me help you. Come with me, to my own personal, last chance saloon.
"Genuinely Brilliant" - Jimmy Carr "Impossible not to like" - Russell
Brand
TOMMY MACK
Tommy Mack is a manic streak of energy with
a motor mouth stream of invention comedy set. Whether introducing himself with ludicrous,
boastful raps, or speculating on how the Old testament would deal with paedophiles his
material ranges from the observational to the hallucinatory, constantly teetering on the
brink of madness. His jaw was once described as chiselled by none other than
Pete Doherty. True fact. (Laughing Horse Semi Finalist 2007) Brilliant. Really
inventive. Josie Long. A wonderful turn of phrase. Daniel Kitson.
And the host for the show
MARK TALBOT
Mark Talbot is arguably one of the nicest
MCs on the circuit today. Friendly, warm, and highly inoffensive, his material and
audience banter is heartfelt and always beautiful in places. But thats all a lie. He
is a comedy writer and performer and is a permanent feature in the comedy world that is
Hat Trick Productions where his boss battles daily with Marks inadequacies in order
to help make this boy a star. He has already showcased his talents on the BBC, and is one
for the future, but a future that starts now. |
