ABOUT: GABY FORD founded The English Theatre of Rome after extensive
travel throughout India, Africa, Europe and the USA on more than two dozen film sets. She
draws inspiration from having worked with professionals such as Jose Ferrer, Otto
Preminger, Martin Scorsese, Willem Dafoe and Shelly Winters. Her numerous portrayals of
the quintessential spinster gave her opportunities to perform with Italian comedians Paolo
Villaggio, Enrico Montesano, Renato Pozzetto, Pino Quartullo, and Milena Vikotic. Gaby has
produced 33 full length plays (12 of which have been bilingual productions), 15 one
acts, 45 ten minute comedies", 6 one person shows and 27 original monologues.
In 2004, Gaby Ford was honored by the American International Club for her cultural
contribution and, in 2007, she was selected along with others as Outstanding Women
Worldwide by FAWCO.
About DYANNE WHITE: Dyannes directing work for the English Theatre
of Rome includes Freudian Slips and other Underwear which premiered in Teatro
del Arte and was translated and transferred to Teatro Colosseo. This show had such a
sucess it went on for the third year running at the prestigious Teatro di Servi. She
worked again directing last season The Broad Cloth Trilogy introducing 14 new monologue
written and performed by women. Acting roles for the Company include Medea, Home
Harvesters, The Rating Game, Real Life, and Philip Glass Buys a Loaf of Bread. She is also
a founder Member of the Miracle Players Theatre Company. She has worked for Childrens
BBC for many years; credits include two years playing Dot in Playdays: Dot
Stop, writing over 150 episodes for CBBC and, more recently, recording an
episode of Basil Brush in which she played a scary psychiatrist called Dr
Sterncracker.
ABOUT THE ENGLISH THEATRE OF ROME: in 12 seasons, the English Theatre of
Rome has produced 63 shows. The Theatre, a division of Ford Entertainment, has
become a significant platform for directors, playwrights, and actors from all over the
