Superheroes for Kids is a silly celebration of comic book superheroes. Last year's show was a super success, this year has some new surprises in store. Games, quizzes, songs and spectacular super nonsense. Dressing up is encouraged.

'The interaction with the children on stage is well-handled and funny... This is a perfect show for 5 – 12 year olds, especially, but not exclusively, those who love superheroes' PrimaryTimes.net

News and Reviews for this Show

August 21, 2017 Darkchat
For our next show of the Fringe we head to Free Sisters to see Australian Andrew Roper’s sequel to last years Superheroes for Kids. The show is in Maggie’s Chamber, a good size room but still packed to the rafters with the area in front of the stage spilling over with excitable kids.

Roper knows his Superheroes and gives us a potted history of Superman, Batman, Spiderman and Wonderwoman
using the audience to demonstrate their powers. There is a bit of quizzing for the kids, also (be warned adults) the
odd parent on stage and a bit of panto style “he’s behind you” from a certain webslinger which has the young
section of the audience in raptures.

The kids in the audience do help to make the show with their contributions and at times (especially during an
Avengers themed finale) this does lead to complete chaos but your little Superheroes will love it. There is every
chance that any grown-ups with them will do too.

Reviews by 8 Year Olds

It was a show about superheroes. At the start Andrew showed pictures of heroes and villains, if it was a hero we had to say "YAY" but if it was a villain we had to go "BOO" and at the end he showed Donald Trump!

During the show we learnt that superman was the first hero and that he was invented in 1933. Andrew got people to dress up as heroes and one of us got to be Superman.

When Andrew got us to sing the Spiderman song, Spiderman came out and sprayed sticky stuff all over us. It was brilliant fun. Click Here
