 The Quadrant is a
popular and traditional bar, with a quirky split-level layout, located in the heart
of Brighton - just opposite the Clock Tower it's at the centre of Brighton's four busiest
streets - Queen's Road, North Street, West Street and Western Road. It's easily accessible from the station - just keep walking straight ahead
for 5 minutes or so and you are at the venue, and it's close to the seafront, main
shopping streets and many other Fringe venues, including The Dome and Komedia.
Recently refurbished, the the downstairs bar offers a wide
selection of drinks and food, in a traditional pub atmosphere. There is a small
seated outdoor drinking area to the rear to enjoy a pint in the sun, and all Fringe shows
are in the upstairs room - which is a funky cabaret bar style place, with an intimate
atmosphere seating 50 people.
There will be Fringe shows here from late afternoon, to
Midnight during most days of the fringe - the full list of shows for May 2010 will be
available in late February 2010.
The Bar is open from Midday to Midnight Sunday to Thursdays,
and until 1am on Fridays and Saturdays - with food served from midday to 10pm.

 The
Temple is a new bar opening in Brighton in late 2009 (It is currently called the 'Star
& Sailor' - hence the picture of 'The Star and Sailor to the left!) - is a only 6
minutes walk from the Quadrant, and is another popular and traditional Brighton bar. It is
located on Western Road, the main shopping street in Brighton, at the junction with Temple
Street and also the main road that leads towards hove. It's is a short (2 minute) walk from Churchill Square shopping centre, and
numerous busses that serve the centre of Brighton all stop very close by. It is a short
walk from the seafront, station and many other centrally located Fringe venues.
The Bar is being completely refurbished in late 2009, and the
Temple will serve a wide selection of drinks, and offer food all day. The front of
the bar opens onto the street making the main bar light and airy, with outdoor seating to
let people enjoy a drink in the sun between fringe shows - upstairs is a 70 seat, cabaret
style performance space.
There will be Fringe shows here from late afternoon, to
Midnight during most days of the fringe - the full list of shows for May 2010 will be
available in late February 2010.
The Bar is open from Midday to Midnight Sunday to Thursdays,
and until 2am on Fridays and Saturdays - with food served from midday to 5pm.
