Nick Doody is one of
brightest talents on the comedy circuit. Sharp, topical and not afraid to say what he thinks, his
brand of political comedy and satire has won fans all over the country.
Nick's career as a stand-up
comedian got off to a pretty good start, whilst still a student, Nick supported the late Bill
Hicks on his final tour of the UK. Bill himself had requested Nick.
Since then Nick has become a
familiar face on the comedy circuit. As well as gigging regularly all over the UK, Nick has also
performed Ireland, Germany and Croatia. Nick is also much in demand as a writer for television,
most recently writing for cult animation series 'EMPIRE SQUARE', BBC4's 'LATE EDITION', Channel
4's 'FAQ U', '8 OUT OF 10 CATS' & 'FRIDAY NIGHT PROJECT', ITV2's 'LIP SERVICE' and More4's
'LAST WORD'.
Nick's radio and TV credits as a performer include contributing to shows such as 'THE MARK THOMAS
COMEDY PROJECT' on Channel 4, BBC Radio 4's 'POLITICAL ANIMAL and Nick was also one of the regular
guests on BBC3's 'COMIC SIDE OF 7 DAYS'.
2006 will see Nick making his
long-awaited solo show debut at the Edinburgh Festival with 'NICK DOODY - BEFORE HE KILLS AGAIN'.
