Applications from performers have now
closed for Fringe 2012...
We'll be taking applications for Fringe 2013 from August this year,
and at that stage this page will be updated with any new information
for next year. Do read through the details here, and email
info@laughinghorse.co.uk
to be added to our mailing list for performers for the 2013 Fringe,
and we'll let you know as soon as any new information is available,
and when we are starting the application and booking process for
2012.

this page are currently aimed at Fringe 2012.

About our venue and Performance
Spaces
The Austral is ideally located in the
heart of central Adelaide to help promote your show - we are
located in the main going-out and eating area of Rundle Street,
minutes from the Rundle Mall main shopping area and its Fringe
street performance and Box Office; As well as being very central and
close to all main Fringe venues - minutes from the Garden of
Unearthly Delights, Fringe Club and Rhino Rooms.
The Austral has three spaces that
can be used for shows:
The Bunka
- A 100 Capacity theatre with disabled access -

An intimate 50 capacity space, upstairs at the Austral -

A lively ground floor bar adjacent to the main bar, ideal for

The Fringe dates that the performance spaces are available are 24th
February to 18th March 2012
Where possible we will
be programming shows in week run blocks (or multiple weeks for
longer run shows), to enable us to provide a full programme of shows
throughout the Festival, and we are aiming to provide a programming
encompassing all Fringe genres.
As
well as providing a space, as detailed on the pages above, we will
also be providing:
- A full venue
Fringe promotional listings and information website, which
performers can easily log-in and update/maintain show
information for audiences
- Website links
to the Fringe Box Office sales for each show
- Website links
between the main Austral website, and social media sites
promoting Fringe shows
- A venue
Programme and posters advertising all shows, with venue
marketing for all shows on site, and around Adelaide
- A Box office
at the venue
- A general PR
team to promote the venue and whole programme at the Austral
- A friendly
team of people to help make your show successful, with the
backup of experienced Fringe promoters who have run Fringe
venues and produced shows at festivals worldwide over numerous
year.
- Venue door and
technical staff if required by shows, or the option to operate
your own show
The Deal
- Ranging
from $75 - $100 per performance (see individual room pages),
with an additional charge to hire any door and/or technical
staff if needed of $20 per person, per performance.
- You keep
100% of box office sales (minus the Fringe's deduction for
their sales)
- You need
to provide your show, put an entry into the Adelaide Fringe
guide, and provide your own PR and marketing for your show
